You know you live in Alaska when...

Your husband tells you to look out the window and this is what you see...
I have been seeing "evidence" all over my yard, of this little guy and his friends, but have yet to see one actually on my street. Last night was my lucky night, I guess. :)

Trip to Seward...

On the drive down there it was snowing hard. I took the picture so you could see how deep the snow is in March...almost covering the sign.
The little hotel rooms we stayed in.
Austin eating (the wrong part) of his banana.
The town of Seward...
Nate, Austin and I standing on the Harbor...
Pat, Austin, Nate, and Dave...
Sea Life Center creatures...
Sea Life Center views of the ocean and mountains.
Nate's parents came to visit last week and we had a wonderful time with them. We took them down to Seward at the end of the week, which is a little over 2 hours South of here. It was fun to see something new in Alaska, and good to get away from home for a night. We went to the Sea Life Center which is located right next to the Ocean. It had beautiful views and beautiful sea life. Thanks for coming!

What we've been up to...

Lots of walking and hiking. We brought along this pack for Austin, and he has been "trekking" along with us. For the most part, he has been such a trooper.
We went to Pearl Harbor and saw all the Navy ships and exhibits. Last time we came we didn't make it to Pearl Harbor, but since we stayed so close by, we thought we would check it out. Very interesting (and that is coming from a girl who isn't into history or military stuff ;).
Watched gorgeous sunsets. We are staying on Ford Island, which is off of Oahu. Austin and I are standing on the Island and you can see Oahu behind us.
More sunsets...

Nate is working tonight and Austin is napping (or he is should be), so I thought I would share some pictures with you all. We are having a great time, and have taken SO many pictures. I am sure you will see some in the future. :)

Hawaii!

Well, we made it to Hawaii, and we are loving it!
There were times on the flight over here, that I thought I might have been crazy for coming all this way with a one year old (ie, the plane we road on was REALLY loud, Austin wasn't fully over his sickness, we had to get up at 5:30am to get a spot on the plane, etc, etc) . But, when you have a free flight AND free hotel room, Hawaii is hard to pass up. Well, really Hawaii is hard to pass up no matter what. Nate is here on "business", but has lots of time off to spend with us too, so we have been really loving the family time.
**The picture is Austin at the beach this morning. :)
