Updates...

Hello from Alaska! I am sitting outside the grocery store parking lot with my laptop computer, in very cold weather, just so I can get wireless internet, and share some updates in our life up here. Only a few more weeks until we can do this in our own home!
We can not believe that we have been in Alaska for over a month now! Time has certainly been flying by, while we are getting adjusted to the new city.
We bought a house a few weeks ago!!! We are thrilled with the purchase, but not the purchase price...how expensive can houses really get? Anyways, hopefully I can post some pictures soon of it. We decided to live in South Anchorage, after trying several attempts to live in Eagle River and it not working out. We are much closer to Alyeska Ski Resort...so you ski bums who want to come visit us (Michael, Aaron, anyone?) will be much closer to the mountain.
We still haven't decided on the church situation. The more time we spend with each meeting the harder it is getting to say no to one of them. We love the people at both, I know it is tough. :) We know the Lord will place us where He wants us to be, so we are thankful for that.
Anyways, this is all I have time for right now, but I will try to post again sometime soon.

Pray for Us!

We would covet your prayers in the next couple of weeks. We have some pretty major decisions to make, and are unsure what exactly we should do. Here is our list of prayer requests...
1. Should we live in Anchorage or Eagle River (a suburb north of Anchorage where most all of the military lives). We have found homes that we like in both locations. Eagle River is nice, but far away from any major shopping, besides Walmart. :) The Anchorage homes are near the chapels and everything we would need in town.
2. Should we buy an older home (that has a yard, but needs to be fixed up) or buy a new home with no yard but not much fixing up to do? Again, we have found both that we like.
3. Which assembly should we go to? There is a Gospel Hall here (very conservative) and another chapel which we heard is much more liberal than we are used to. We have been to the hall, and will attend the other one this Sunday.
Anyways, those are the major things we need to decide, pray that we follow the Lord's leading. We, of course, want what HE wants us to do.
